I use the Classic GM MKII directly into the Monbrison. Can't say I have done any experimenting. Tough enough paying for this setup. But it does sound stunning

I'm presently running an Ortofon 90th Anniversary into a Monbrison with great results. On the MM non-SPU side, it's a Denon DL103R that has received the Soundsmith upgrade mounted in a Uwe African ebony body going to the Auditorium 23 SUT.
