May want to wait for the new 7.3's.
Should be a 3.7 on steroids...

Thx for the link Brian, incredible the detail that goes into every unit. I have listened to these twice now in the last week or so at my local guys shop and have to say, with only 50 hours or so compared to the recommended 400 hour break in period they do impress me.

Tom...I like the 3.7s a lot. The videos were great. It's between them and the Rockport Miras for my next speaker. I may try the Rockports which I know very well from extensive listening (i.e., more than 20 times). The 3.7s I have heard 2-3 times. They are superb and utterly familiar in terms of the Thiel house sound. They are simply superior to the 2.4s - that I currently own and that you once owned . You must be enjoying the heck out of them

Brian...my only worry is that Jim Thiel was the designer of all the Thiel speakers up to now and as it relates to new products coming down the pike, I wonder if there will be a material deviation in the house sound as some new designer tries to fill in Jim's shoes.

Greg...I am a big big fan of the Thiel sound . Great speakers . They need high quality components to drive them as they are revealing of any crap behind them in the playback chain.

Cyril: I can honestly say I'm enjoying the 3.7's very much. They are better in every way. The mids and highs are much smoother and detailed, bass is tighter, lower and deeper.

From what I understand the current resident engineer spent several years as JT's understudy. Hopefully he will design in Jim"s tradition and the house sound will retain all its best qualities.
