Ditto. I can't imagine listening to any other AMP than the 2301s. Apart from the MC275s, I have never heard any of the other MC AMPs. I've never had an interest in the Solid State AMPs.Though, in another thread I did question about the MC302, is it? Anyway. I think I will purchase another MC275 or two rather than go down the Solid State AMP path. Obviously, I have another pair of MC2301s but that is a bit much for a Master Bedroom or...maybe not.

David.......Hey, the MC2301's have a lot of sex appeal. They just might be the perfect master bedroom amplifiers. .

Tom.......The Sonus faber Amati Anniversario speakers with the McIntosh C1000C/P and MC2301 power amplifiers are a match made in heaven. Performances are presented like a hologram floating in the air of the room. It is fabulous.

The room and system have changed a bit from the photos you quoted. This is the studio system and room as it is today.

Tom.......The Sonus faber Olympica 1 speakers should put a big smile on your face. SixMoons did a nice review: http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/sonusfaber6/2.png

I used to own a pair of Sonus faber Guarneri Memento speakers, similar to the Olympica, and before that I owned a pair of Sonus faber Cremona Auditors. I had both in the studio system and powered them with MC275 MkV amps set up in mono, and then powered the Guarneri Memento's with an MC452. The GM's responded well to the solid state power.

Start a new thread once you have the SF Olympica speakers. I will follow it with interest.

Dan...thanks! I will once I get it. I had a chance to listen to it for a good 45 minutes, it was power by a Rotel Amp and it sounded awesome!
Tom.
