It is been back two times now and batteries are fine now, i only have to sit less than 6 feet from the pre, so useless :-(.

My dealer's demo same problem and from another customer aswell since i know now.

When I had the pre in my system it sat about 12-14 feet from my listening position. It would actually be much closer if I had put in where my current pre-amp sits so there would be no issue.
