It's here, the Everest has arrived!!! I got the Everest installed over the weekend, it only has about 20 hours on it and there is a huge difference over my PS Audio P20 regenerator. I was floored by the amount of bass I was missing and my soundstage got wider and taller. I'm going to let the Everest burn in for about a week but so far I am truly amazed on the difference from the P20. I'm using a Sigma V1 Nr 20 amp cable from the Everest to wall, and plan on upgrading to the Sigma V2 XC in the near future. Would there be a big upgrade from the Sigma V2 XC to the Omega XC? I also still have to buy a Denali 6000s V2 for the rest of my source components in the near future. Big thanks to Ivan and everyone here on the forum for your help and guidance with my system, I never would have believed that adding the Everest to my system could have made this much of a difference.

I’m very happy to hear your initial report. I can tell you from first hand experience; the Omega XC is in an entirely different performance zip code.

I kind of wish there wasn’t such a difference, but it is undeniable better.

Funny how that works...

Yup.

Pretty amazing, isn't it? It's mind-blowing the first time you experience Everest.

It will continue to get better over the next two weeks, also.

The best way I can describe the difference between the Sigma and Omega XC is to use the analogy of horsepower in a racing car.

The Sigma XC is a like a Porsche GT2 RS...VERY fast and powerful; the fastest production car to have ever lapped the Nordschleife at Nurburingring.

The Omega XC is the like the Porsche 919 EVO Hybrid...the fastest car ever to have lapped the Nordschleife at Nurburingring, overall.

In my small(er) space, I found the Sigma XC to be the better fit of horsepower for my sized space. For large rooms, or full-tilt/no holds-barred systems with big amps where there is sufficient volume in the room to make use of all that horsepower, the Omega is the better PC.

Puma Cat even though I’m a Tesla kind of guy, I understand exactly what that analogy means and it speaks to my system and my room. Ivan’s comments also weigh in here.

My intellectual secret future plan was to wait for an Omega PD in a Triton formfactor. On the other hand my system sounds great and with the help of V2 power, clock and Omega ethernet(AES/EBU) cabling, new OCXO, switch and routers and PSU’s, HRS vibration managemement it has radically transformed the scale and envelope of the system sound.

I thank all for their contribution during this difficult year of the new normal. Can’t wait to see what 2021 brings.

Well Hell, that is bad news.

Does Shunyata still make the old 2 outlet PD, it’s not listed on the website. I have moved by component rack back to the side wall and my Denali 6000V2 went with it leaving my amps plugged into the wall.

I find the Denali feeds my 501’s just fine.

HifiHippie congrats on the Everest. I got the same impression when I added a Denali V2!

Puma Cat, thanks for the input on the differences on the power cables. I think I will start with Sigma V2 XC on the Everest, and when my Denali 6000s V2 comes in for my source components put the Sigma XC on the Denali and order a Omega XC for the Everest.

That’s indeed a great plan! I fully agree

The D2000/Ts are end of life and no longer made. Not sure if there are plans for a newer 2 outlet PD. You could perhaps get Omega QRs's (or Sigma NR's) for your amps?

It has been hinted at before by Caelin. Now when this product actually appear we do not know. No idea what happens at CES 2021 timeframe.

Omega QR cables are made for amps to wall. Ofcourse their QR/BB is not the size of Typhon or Everest but they serve a purpose.
