Default New Scoutmaster II

I meant to post this quite awhile ago. I bought a new Scoutmaster II back in October and I absolutely love it. I upgraded from a Rega RP3 and there is no comparison. The bass from this table is fantastic. It has a Classic arm with the VTA tower. I had it set up initially with an Ortofon 2M Black which I have been extremely pleased with. I am getting ready to buy another armwand so I can mount a MC cartridge.

I simply don't listen to digital anymore. I'll use my Squeezebox and DAC when I need background music, but when I want to sit down and listen it is all vinyl. My LP collection has exploded in the last few months and shows no sign of slowing down. Two thumbs up VPI! (Note: I have since moved the table over a smidge on the butcher block so there is no danger of it falling off )

Congrats on your new addition - looks great. I would expect a Scoutmaster II to be an upgrade from an RP3. How is the Teac liking the new TT?

Thanks. They are getting along well. I use the TEAC (and a Korg MR2 DSD recorder) to record the LPs that I don't have digital copies of so I can play them when I am running around the house.

Looks like a great setup!

I've been mostly analog for quite some time now, which makes me wonder why the heck I bought a MCD500 and D100, but that's another story. I really only buy CDs now when the album is just not available on vinyl. Probably <10 CDs in the last year.

Congrats on the upgrade!

I'm glad you moved the TT a bit...it would be a damn shame to have seen that hit the floor.

Matt.......You have a fine looking system that is set up very attractively. I like it.

Did you spring for the second arm-wand? If so, what are they selling for these days? Which MC did you go with?
