Direct Metal Mastering (DMM)
Ok AA Gang,
Anyone here familiar with this? I was just verbally introduced to it, so I haven't had a chance to listen yet. I recently bought a dozen LP's from the same guy that introduced me to it. We struck up a conversation about LP's and audio systems in general. He asked me if I had heard any new LP releases (and my response was no). He handed me (no charge) a new release (not DMM), which I will listen to after I clean it. Just curious if LP's are going thru a revolution. Other than the ridgidity aspect of the master, I can't guess what the diff would be.

I got an album the other with DMM on it... A very rare copy of Powermad's Absolute Power. They are like a perfect cross between Defenders of the Faith-era Judas Priest and Master of Puppets-era Metallica... Thrash metal albums aren't known for their fidelity, but this album sounds really good....

For those who have seen David Lynch's Wild At Heart, Powermad is the heavy metal band featured throughout the soundtrack.
