And, that's all that what was provided by the gang here with the PS Audio and Shunyata recommendations.

For some folks, that might be a PS Audio, for others a Leviton or Hubbel, for some it could be a Shunyata. Mouse can evaluate this information based on folks' experiences to make some informed decisions and decide which products provide a value proposition for him.

I have to admit a $25 receptacle is probably a big step up from the contractor low grade version. I need 4 for that wall. I could use a nice one for what my power conditioner plugs into, and 2 low cost but decent quality hospital grade receptacles for my new subs.

Great outlets!

I have also used Avatar Acoustics AFTERBURNER8 outlets, very similar philosophy to Shunyata PowerConn in their top conditioners (No Exotic Metals, etc.....) with great results over a 6 year period.

Oyaide R1 and others are often spoken of but I would not use them.

Stephen, I know that, I was merely pointing out that the video makes IMO a useless comparison. It would better serve us all if it was done against a higher quality Leviton, Hubble, etc.

Look at it this way would you compare your fine Fuji cameras against my Kodak 'Instamatic' ? They both take a picture !

I think the operative phrase here is "get a grip". A vise-like one.

In that vein, I've found that, in terms of perceived audio performance, the Hubbell HBL5362 duplex I recently installed in my main system is at least the equal of the PS Audio Power Port it replaced. I have two more 5362s on hand, and they'll soon be source-feeding the bedroom and home-office systems here.

I had to read two or three times to understand it isn't sarcasm, you mean a good bite/connection from the metal prong of the cable to the receptacle blades.

I think the grip force is important, but the number of contact points is important, too.

Has anyone ever tried the PS Audio Soloist? I have one still in the box that I never installed.
