Default Back to work for a while

After 2 years of blissful retirement, I’m back to work. My successor ended up not working out, so I’m filling in while we go through the process of identifying another replacement. I‘m at least trying to maintain a semblance of a more casual, semi-retired life by going in to the office at 9:00 instead of 8:00 and only 3-4 days a week, but I must say it’s hard getting back in the groove. I’m hoping this will only be for 2-3 months.

Hello. Perhaps for some inspiration and motivation, it is nice to know that you are well valued to return back to your previous position and held in high regards. For myself, I am not in a position to retire just yet. I tell myself every morning that “sleeping in is not an option.” All the best in your current journey, and perhaps look at a different way to challenge yourself that you did not get to explore prior to retirement. Just my 2 cents.

Regards

A great suggestion, thanks. The business environment has changed in just 2 years, so it already presents some new challenges.

Thanks guys for the encouragement. And Dan, I don’t discriminate based on age...but there won’t be anyone interviewed for the job under the age of 45. 3 months or bust.

When I retired I had a difficult time resetting my internal clock, maybe because my work schedule was very regimented. I got over it, completely ruined now, never want to work again. Retirement is very much enjoyed now!!!!!

This shit is so true. My middle some who is 22 just fished college to be a pharmacist
And was complaining about having to work a 8 hour day. I asked him. Son. Do you remember when I used to get up at 4:30-am for work and I would not get home until 7 or 8pm. This was before I became disabled
He said yea , I just thought your where out at a bar or something like that after you got off of work at noon. Lol
