Greetings from Howard County Maryland
Hello all,
I promised myself that 2013 would be a year of changes. And as part of that I decided to come over here to AA to get an idea of what's hot (or not) in the high end audio world. I'd gauge my system to be, at best, extremely modest compared to most of what I'm seeing here. Currently running a B&K Pro10 Sonata preamp feeding into a pair of vintage Fisher 50a tube monoblocks. As far as speakers go I've been mostly rotating between Allison Two, Kef 104/2, IMF TLS80 and a pair of 50's vintage Klipschorns. Probably the weakest links in the system are the CD player and turntable, a Kenwood and Denon respectively. I do want to upgrade my CD player to a good quality unit capable of playing CD/SACD. I also want to enter the world of quality digital input (streaming, PC server, or ??? ...I need to figure out what's out there...) One further note. I long ago abandoned tape and FM as sources. Welcome, Ohighway! I'm right down the Parkway from you in Hyattsville. There are a lot of very knowledgeable members here who are always willing to offer friendly tips as you revise your system (and who isn't, really?). You haven't yet mentioned what SACD player you currently use and what your budget is, but I strongly suggest looking at those with digital inputs as well. Oppo
, Cary , Wadia (previous generation), Esoteric, McIntosh, EMM, and Playback Systems include digital inputs in their SACD players. There are others as well whose names are escaping me at the moment.

I do not currently have the ability to play SACD. Also, I forgot to mention (well, I just edited it back into the OP) that I long ago abandoned tape and FM as sources.
I used to work near Hyattsville. In Greenbelt at NASA Goddard.
