The more you look at it, the better it start looking does it.

Like the Vu meters alot, as long as the meter stays under 100% it means svelte Class A.
The red zone is AB up to 90 Watts/4 Ohms.

Not particularly kidding around with 360 Watt at 1 Ohms.

Add in a dampingfactor of 600 and we have a black belt Class A

With permission, i do think the A47 has the sweetspot for class A line.
There is also the price performance ratio to be considered.
My opinion is that the best price performance ration is given by the top Accuphase integrated amps (when paired with appropriate speakers). The A-4x class A integrated amps a certainly very good and for sure the most popular Accuphase amps. However, IMO to get a real upgrade from the top integrated amps one has to buy the top stereo power amps and pre-amplifiers.

Agreed regarding price/performance. But do we not seek for the ultimate performance and are a little blind at the price side?
Regarding the ultimate performance the pre/power combos are ahead of the integrated components.

And there is also the practical aspect.
One needs or could use integrated, others need or want separates.
Every situation ask for different solutions.
My ideal situation ask for some 25 feet of interconnect between pre and power.
xlr offers some advantages here too, and so integrated is no option.
I do concur that integrateds have even higher price-performance.

Is A47 x 2 is better than A70. I am considering to get A47 or A70 in near future. Thanks.

And a P-4200 for low frequencies and the A-47 for mid-hi frequencies? I don't know wich speakers you have, but even before going fully active crossover (so when I had the original passive crossovers still in place) the combo P-4200 (low) + A-46 (mids/high) drove very nicely both my Pioneer/TAD S-2ex and my B&W 801 S3.

Two identical poweramps (Mono or Stereo) greatly help to reduce speaker cable length and cost.

???
sorry but this not true. Sure better but not significant: same ampli for the LF and same for the HF.

cable lenght = min 1.5 meter -> more 'short is not indicated.

and if you can buy 2 A70 a speaker cable is your last problem.

I can understand your preference for two different poweramps, one for LF and the other one for HF.

However the price difference for 2 pairs of my speaker cables (AQ WEL Signature) between 1m and 1.5m is €13,7k!

You may not feel the need for such high quality speaker cable with A-47.
But with A-70 or A-200 this might be a different story.

difference between LF and HF is a personal taste but a lot of active(semi active speakers) use the class D for the woofer!!! and not entry level speaker!!!!

Agree if you have the A200....but if you can go with a pair of A200 the cable is your last problem.

You know?
