Glad you were able to give it a try. Most of the reviews I have read state that it isn't worth the increased cost over the regular Bulleit. I disagree - I have both on hand and the 10 year is much more complex and refined.

It was better than expected for the year and was quite nice. I thought it might be over the hill but it wasn't. However if you have any 98's in the cellar I suggest it's time to drink up and not take any chances.
For me, that was the last 98 in the cellar except maybe a Grange....

Hrmmm... We have differing opinions there.

I have ditched all my 97's due to them all dying off and have focused far more on the 98's. They were weaker in youth but have come on strong with some proper age. (I'm actually feeling the same way about Napa/Sonoma '07/'08, too.)

Actually my 97's are starting to show nicely after a pretty long dumb period
Never bought many 98's as the reviews on the year were very mixed.
I haven't touched many of my 07/08 hitters so I can't comment here
