JL Audio f110v2 .... Right fit for my small room?

For now, I decided on a single f110v2 subwoofer. Order placed and now the hard part .... waiting. Should be worth the wait.

hanks Dan, will do. I think a single sub should be a nice improvement. Door is always open to add a 2nd sub, which I would prefer. Once I have the one, I will be able to better visualize the physical presence of a pair and how it would look, feel, and change room. As always, the chase is half the fun

Nice room and this one is a challenge for sure. Looking at the pics my knee jerk reaction would be to place the sub on the left wall firing straight across, but a bit away from the seated position.

My concern with the right wall would be the possibility of being able to easily locate where the sub is coming from due to a flapping pant leg or wind gust across the legs unless you were motivated enough to find a new spot for one or two of your verticle rows of LP's and tuck the sub further into the closet

Is it safe to assume the DAC and CD transport are there so you don't have to get up and putting on or under the shelf to the right is not an option

Thanks for the input. I will try out your suggestion. The digital gear is where it is at because I can't stand looking at the silver gear mixed in with my McIntosh gear. Guess I'm shallow.

Think I will start with sub nestled next to right side speaker with the Sophia and JL woofers facing towards me. The sub front face/woofer will protrude about an inch or two in front of the Sophia woofer.

I have options of sliding in down in front of LPs or opposite wall. You are right ... the sub will quickly be getting close to me as I move down wall.

To give perspective to photos. My ears are 8 ft from each tweeter. The tweeters are 7 feet apart.

Very nice room. Have you tried bass traps in the front corners? It's amazing what some good traps will do for your bass!

True. I have tried corner bass traps. I have (4) GIK soffit traps (17x17x46.5 inches each) and (2) ASC TowerTraps (14.5x14.5x90 inches each). They sit in my attic. They work great but I get greater benefits by pushing speakers back. Again, trade offs of a small room.

I am happy with one subwoofer for now too, for when I listen to two channel audio, knowing I can add more if I wish.
