Default Shindo Preamps w/ARC Amp

I have a Audio Research REF75 and Sonus Faber Elipsas. I am looking for a preamp. I see the Shindo Vosne Romanee and Giscours have XLR outputs which would mate with the ARC amp. Are there any owners here that have paired Shindo/ARC? While I think Shindo preamps are truly beautiful and the sonic character is right on target, my interest has a little something to do with the onboard MC/MM phono. Any thoughts on the match? Thanks

mg87- you may want to contact Don Better in OH. He carries ARC and Shindo. Best of luck in your search.

Interesting. I've been experimenting with using my Monbrison as a phono stage with great results. Even with an inexpensive (but totally delicious (TM)) Bottlehead S.E.X. amp it adds that harmonic richness and body that makes Shindo so special IMO.

In an age of $50K phono stages (seen recent reviews on Stereophile and TAS?) you can get a fantastic phono stage + a bonus line preamp.

Definitely worth exploring.

Alberto

I have the Allegro without xlr and would very much like to try the RF75 too.

Until I acquired a Shindo Montille, I very briefly ran an Audio Research VT100 mkiii with my Monbrison. Not a happy marriage as the gain on the Monbrison started off at too high a level. OTOH, a pair of Wright Sound WPA 3.5 2A3 monoblocks worked great as of course did the Montille.

Arizona HiFi, I know use to sell Shindo Preamps with ARC power amps, the amps input needs to modified to match is all. They said the match was wonderful.

This past week I listened to the newest iteration of the Shindo V-R (which I own) paired with the ARC REF 250 monoblocks. I thought the pairing was pure magic! If I could afford the REF 250's, I would do it in a heartbeat.
