Marantz AV7701???

What do you guys think of the AV7701? Does anyone have it?

I have the AV8801. I think Marantz didn't do itself any favors by crippling it and not giving it the XT32 option. (not even XT!)

The 8801 is superb and provides more of the Marantz special sauce like HDAM, copper shielding etc.

I think it has MultEQXT but not XT32

I've owned pretty much all of the various flavors of Audyssey and the step up to XT32 is a worthwhile consideration. It really made a huge difference in my HT system.

Sorry, I meant just XT but typed something else.

XT32 supposedly uses less processing power than XT so why they didn't include it baffles me.

Perhaps I shd have said xt32 was a less processor intensive for each filter and more optimized algorithm and that it takes the same amount of processing power as XT.

That will teach me abt posting before sleeping at 1am
