There is an awesome Clearaudio GoldFinger V2 in the FS. Ivan has only 60 hours on it. The GF could become the apex of your system. It is that good.

Thank you so much. I think yes, the camaraderie on AF is simply remarkable and I'll leave the other question for others to answer.

Hi Kev,

I've been exclusively using the Dartzeel combo and while the necessary BNC cable is lagging behind, I am absolutely happy with what I am hearing. I will introduce the Dart preamp to the D'Agostino Momentum amp in a few days once I settle in and get used to the Dart sound. This will give me a better understanding of the differences. I am confident both pairings will be outstanding. Right now this Dart combo is wonderful. Ultimate detail without harshness, smooth deep and wide sound stage. Amazing! My TADs have never sounded better.

Joe, if my memory is correct I think I noticed in a prior post you were looking hard at a Pass Amp. I would love to hear your thoughts on how it compaired to the DAG. I am looking at Magico S5 and my dealer carries Pass but Dan D. doesn't have a dealer here in Chicago.

Thanks.

I never got to hear the Xs-150 Pass amps. I stopped considering them because of the heat. I did have XA100.5's which I really liked but were borderline too warm for my room. So far the D'Agostino momentum is SUPERB. Very full and seamless audio presentation. The Pass XA100.5's are more tube-like meaning slightly softer bass and sweeter treble and mid-range. I can't make a definitive conclusion between Dartzeel and Dagostino yet but both are what I like in audio sound.

I think the S5's are a relatively easy load for an amp. Almost anything you decide on amp-wise should drive them easily. Dartzeel sounds particularly good on them.

Thanks Joe. I am definitley concerned about the Pass heat. Dan doesn't have a dealer here in Chicago. I may need to run out to NY.
