It wasn't meant to be a qualitative comment, but rather simply that I had never hearrd a Krell amp that I liked the sound of. I can't speak for the very latest generation of CAST products, though.

On the other hand from the moment I first heard them at RMAF I knew the Momentums were something special, which is why I posed the initial question about whether this reflected a change in direction on D'Agostino's part or what other factor might best explain this, given my previous experiences with his designs.

Of course you know how that goes, it's not what "I" necessarily want to watch that evening but more like "what would you like to watch honey"? It's all good, we both enjoy movies and concerts even if it's not in the order I'd like to watch them. Both of my sons love the theater as well but you know teenagers, they have other priorities... We have watched quite a few movies together with my boys already.
Now that's wisdom...

I saw the momentums in the flesh today. I was surprised how small and compact they were.
They are similar in size to the Ayre MX-R's. The momentum's actually not as wide but a bit longer and taller.

Both amps are very kool

That said the dealer did just receive the Stereo Momentum. I plan to compare that to the MX-R's
