I would add... Triple check your speaker cable connections for current polarity.

Polarity triple checked. The wire is rocket 88 and I can see the red/black twisted wires before it goes to the banana plug on both sides.
If polarity is screwed up inside the O3 or Mc I'll never know.

I learned of the battery test.
Hook the speaker to a battery and the speakers will push OUT. Hook the battery backwards and the woofers will push IN. All 7" woofers passed the test.
The speaker wire is connected with the correct polarity.

Putting the MX122 in "PURE STEREO DSP BYPASS MODE" for using his front speakers only and no subwoofers for music will solve his problem to get bass back in the picture while determining the best placement. When that problem is solved if he wants to use the subs for music then he can dial them in and re-engage the bass management using an appropriate CD or DVD.

Who said anything about a sub? I was asking for details to help him troubleshoot the problem. Asking specific configuration questions will get us all the current setup environment so this can be logically troubleshot. That is all I was trying to achieve here...

He did.

"I have subwoofers.
2 channel music won't use a sub unless I set my speakers to "small" and the crossover is 150 hz.
Does distance from a wall or room shape or size effect bass? "

Using the Bypass mode with the mains first lets him get them placed in the best location for his bass needs and soundstage. He can figure the other part out afterwards. One thing at a time.

By far the most important sentence in the entire thread.
