Default Conrad-Johnson - Enjoying a New Flavor

After a 2 year hiatus from buying new audio equipment, I'm back! Maybe the quality of my past equipment speaks to the reason for a lack of the sickness of upgraditis.

But, I have taken a dive into the Conrad Johnson pool and have been swimming laps all week. I will wait before giving a full report, but first impressions are off-the-charts! I went all-in with a MF 2550 SE and a ET3 SE. I am listening to Jazz at the Pawnshop right now...I might as well be sitting at the bar with Gert Palmcrantz! Glasses clinking and beautiful women whispering in my ear between songs....and when the music takes off, I can't resist from rising from my seat and dancing.

More later...I've got to pay attention to this recording. So much fun!

Congrats Brent, it's always nice to hear of someone enjoying their new gear to that degree! I'm sure you'll enjoy them even more in time, looks like you'll need to update your system signature.

Texture. Mark Knopfler's voice has texture on any system, but I've never thought of that adjective to describe him until tonight. Damn!

Great eye! Yes, I decided to start this new phase without them. I wanted to get familiar with the CJ sound without Stillpoints and then have fun seeing how things change. I'm a huge Stillpoints fan and am looking forward to the process. Although, I will say that I didn't like Stillpoints under my PMCs...
