Default Which component is your vice and poison?

Pretty sure we all have that one special component that we tend to obsess over more than others in the system. You know, that special amp, preamp, digital or perhaps and analog rig or maybe speakers make you tingle all over? Something that we more often tend to imagine, fantasize and trial fit mentally into our systems each time we see a special specimen.

Vote, let's see what we are dealing with here.

Something about those amplifiers for me. Never could resist a good amplifier!

Analog rig for me. It just draws me in closer to the music.

Well, as I presently own ten amplifiers, and (7) are 100# or more ...

My speakers are my most beloved components.
Close second: my streamer.

Same for me. One reason may be the fact that it has so many places to play: cart, headshell, TA, TT, SUT, cables, to say nothing of the media and cleaning and..............
TT is being recapped at the moment and the motor is being cleaned & lubed, including new Dynamat replacing the 40+ year-old damping foam, etc.

Initially I was going to say my pre-amp or amps but then I realized that the music delivered by my digital front end is where the real enjoyment comes from. It is the music not the SQ that fulfills my needs. For the most part the same front end feeds both my 2 channel room as well as my whole house system. Vastly different SQ yet similarly fulfilling.

Always been an amplifier guy myself. Love the weight and the design of a good amplifier like the design of the old Mark Levinson no. 33- series.

Such a cool design:

Not sure what 100# is but I hope it doesn't stand for $100K

7 amps is a very impressive number. This from one "amp" guy to another. But I hold myself back and only have a few.
