Unlikely comparisons
Just got my ls50's and couldn't resist comparing to my Sasha 2's. Short answer: there is no comparison. Thank god, because nobody wants to think they paid 25 times too much. Haha!
But I'll tell ya, these things have heart. They get voices right. They get soundstage right. They can't come close in scale, depth, or precision, but I'm still impressed. And I think I ordered my stands too tall, Ivan. (36 Inches) But my theater tv is kind of high, so these will be at the bottom of the tv. Might be about the right height where they are headed. Fun comparison...already lugged my f113 upstairs, not sure I want to bring down for a comparo like that, but tempting! Last edited by jdandy; 08-29-2014 at 01:11 AM. Reason: Enlarge photo. |

Funny thing is...the longer I listen to them and don't directly compare, the more I think that these paired with a f113 could be serious contenders. Scary...

Marc... Everything looks great! I think you went with the right height for the LS50's.

Marc,
How big is your room and do the LS50's fill it with sound OK? Paul

What, meaning I've upgraded from Sasha's to LS50's? LOL
Just comparing them to see what you get for the money. |

Another thing I was not expecting is their efficiency is very low. 85db. My Sasha's need only half the power to put out the same amount of sound. It's quite interesting...my volume is up much higher on these things. You'd think the Sasha's would want more power, but it's the other way around! |
