Default Dartzeel Preamp

I noticed that most people who are using an NH108 amp are using someone else's preamp. I am using an ML 326S. Anyone tried or heard the Dartzell preamp and formed an opinion?

I would love the get a Dartzeel preamp to go with my Dart 108 amp. The Dart pre gives a whole new level of performance when hooked up through the 50 ohm BNC Zeel connection. Depending on your system, some say it can be slightly softer than they prefer, but I love my Dart 108 amp and can't imagine how good the preamp could sound. I have only hesitated in getting it now because I do not believe the Dart pre wold be a good match for my Burmester 911 mono amps.

CC,

What's your system now? What are you thinking about getting?

My system now is:
Esoteric K03 (tried a Puccini but was not reliable)
Meridian Sooloos Control 15.
ML 326S preamp
NH 108B Amp. (had a Pass 250.5) this smokes it.
Karma 3.2FE speakers
KS elation Interconnects (balanced)
KS elation speaker cables (made a big differnence from taras)

I bought the 326s because of the reviews I have read. I have owned a Classe, ML38 and ML38S also. The 326S is better than any of these. One of the mags rated this and the MBL6010 as two of the best preamps he had heard.
I have tried taking it out and hooking the puccini and K03 direct but Like the preamp. It also gives me the option of Analog and using just a DAC with the control 15.

Unless I want to get on an airplane which I really don't have time to do, there is no where to listen to high end systems in Atlanta.

I think the Dart pre in your situation would help if you are looking for a more "musical" presentation. What about the sound do you not like? Just looking for a change?

All too well , sometimes what we think is an upgrade, turns out not to be an upgrade. I would love to put the Dart pre in front of my Dart 108. The only reason I have not purchased the Dart pre is I do not think it will play well with my Burmester amps, but my Dart amp plays well with everything

Why have you held onto the Burmester amps if you have the Dartzeel?

What is the sound of one hand clapping? Ha! I loved my stereo 911mk3 immensely but the mono 911's turned out be a different animal. I am trying to sell the 911's but I am not having luck. I keep coming back to my Dartzeel amp. There's nothing like it. The 911's perform superbly on speakers other than my TAD CR-1's, for my taste anyway.

I have heard the 911MK3 amps. The sound good. I would prefer the NH108b for my speakers too.
