Which tuner for Shindo system?
Right now I'm really loving my LPs and digital collection...but occasionally I want to listen to some FM radio.
What tuners do you use with your Shindo gear? I'm considering the McIntosh MR78 based on reading fmtunerinfo.com but I'm open to suggestions. |

I'd get a Sonos and have access to radio stations the world over.
I'm listening WNCW from North Carolina right now sitting here in cold so cal. |

I have a magnum dynalab 102t tube tuner that I have been very happy with. I also had a dac installed which uses to tube output stage of the tuner. With a good radio station the sound quality of the tuner is as good as my digital. unfortunately most stations are very compressed these days.

I (shamelessly) have 3 systems with Shindo gear, and I use older/vintage tuners in each - an Accuphase T-106, a Kenwood L-01T, and a Marantz 2130. And I rotate in two other tuners from time to time - a Yamaha CT-7000 and a Uher EG 750.

Not to high jack the topic, but WNCW is a great radio station!

Rotel 990BX I bought new in 98. Not vintage but still suprises at how good it is. Thought about upgrading once but I really only listen to mainly one station - WRTI Temple University for Jazz. I guess internet radio will be the way to go from here.
