As I posted earlier — "For the future, don’t worry if your beer or wine has glyphosate in it, just be worried on how many you drink of the actual known carcinogen — alcohol."
National Cancer Institute (NCI) — There is a strong scientific consensus that alcohol drinking can cause several types of cancer (1, 2). In its Report on Carcinogens, the National Toxicology Program of the US Department of Health and Human Services lists consumption of alcoholic beverages as a known human carcinogen. The evidence indicates that the more alcohol a person drinks—particularly the more alcohol a person drinks regularly over time—the higher his or her risk of developing an alcohol-associated cancer. Even light drinkers (those who have no more than one drink per day) and binge drinkers have a modestly increased risk of some cancers (3–7). So drink up.............cause alcohol will kill you before glyphosate in beer/wine. So typical of U.S. PIRG. Ron

Why should any of the above get a free pass? And at what point do you put a period and turn the page? Putting that aside for the moment, the fact is there almost no such thing as the perfect product. From the cars we drive, to any electrical device, to pastimes of swimming, skiing, etc etc, - and the food we consume there is some element of associated risk. This is something we must accept in order to enjoy the standard of living/prosperity we do. Failure is endemic to the human condition. To try to eliminate all risk at any cost and you will succeed in destroying all human initiative, endeavor and prosperity. That might be your idea of utopia but it's certainly not mine. Besides the virtually destroyed soil that is drenched in pesticides, the pest are developing resistance, the yields of many types of crops are not any better but the soil is ruined and will take decades to recover, the bee population is dying and we will be royally screwed one day without the bees pollinating so much of our food source. At least some countries have seen the light, banned GMO products, banned pesticides and showed companies like Monsanto a very big middle finger. No wonder we are working on pollination drones now.... Where does it all stop? |

No doubt if any advanced civilization would take one look at what is going on our planet, they would hit the warp button and high tail outta here... The human species is beyond help.

Terrible. You know that China has stopped accepting our recyclables that were shipped on barges to them? Any idea what we are doing with our recyclables now? We are BURNING them... That's right, right back into the air we are breathing. I know because there is an incinerator facility that burns it about 30 min from me. The area has extreme incidences of asthma and lung cancer.
