To further complicate matters, the shift to DST occurs on different weekends depending upon the country. For example, England shifts to DST on March 31, 2019.

So the Stonehenge guys must be doing a dress rehearsal.

More overtime for Stonehenge.
As a retired person, I've been setting my personal DST for 10+ years.

First of all let me know if I’m wrong. The phrase “set your clocks back an hour” might imply to rotate the hands backwards one hour on the dial. For you clock aficionados would it be better to dial forward 11 hours? I do not own expensive watches but have understood it better to move the hands forwards.

As for decimal time (aka: metric time) I,m in favor for that. When the French invented the metric system they left out time but included units for length, weight, mass etc.

Not that I believe in time (Surge are you listening) because at the speed of light time stops we are told. So time is a unit of measure of the speed of light if you the observer are not moving?

So what about our future in space? As earthlings we have our astronomical system of Earth time as we orbit around the sun. So sure lets stop the insanity and join Arizona and Hawaii and standardize the folly but what when we are living in other surroundings?

I found the Fox article that cows hate DST as they have to wait another hour to be milked very telling. I personally have a very hi tolerance to sleep variations but unlike trade associations I value those of you who do suffer from the bi annual time changes.

I can manage global and domestic business dealings with time differences but prefer the zero sum gain approach to any policy regarding time.

In full disclosure I did not notice the time change as my phone and computors reset automatically and my alarm clock is my morning cup of coffee hand delivered by my sweetie to my bed side table...! So far, Life is good with first world problems.
