Time to be done with this obsolete practice.

Yes. And here's an opinion I agree with wholeheartedly.

I like it!! I don't need the sun going down at 9pm in the summer and coming up at 4:30am.

I guess I must be the one person in the USA that likes it. I leave for work around 6:15 in the morning and drive back home around 6:30 pm. For the next couple of weeks, there will be daylight in my morning commute so I can actually see all the deer waiting to run in front of my car. Makes it an easier commute. Love DST when we spring forward. Gives me daylight hours to be outside at night. Maybe I will feel differently when I retire and control my schedule.

We spend our summers in the North Country where it doesn’t get dark until 10:30 and is already light at 4:30 - so without DST is would be light really really really early.

I could live with the hour offset all year long though.

The change is a lot less of a hassle than it used to be - I only have to change the clock in the Porsche and the grandfather clock. Everything else is automatic.

As noted I would prefer we continue with Daylight Savings but it any change was to be made business would be more productive of we reduced the number of time zones from 4 to 2. The Eastern would move to Central Time and the West to Mountain.

I know it will never happen but the three hour difference makes it a pain doing business in our current economy. The West Coast having to deal with the NYSE opening and closing. Conference calls that start at odd times. East Coast/West Coast trips jet lag would be virtually eliminated with just two time zones.
