Are you still enjoying your XR100s? I heard some at a dealer this past weekend hooked up to Mcintosh 611s, C53, MCD600 and they were amazing little speakers. Beautiful walnut finish. I was a little taken back to see the Mcintosh sign glowing on the bottom of the speakers but after an hour of listening in a dark room they started to grow on me.

Unfortunately, I had to sell them recently (COVID job loss).
While I had them, fantastic speakers. I had them paired with a MC312 and a MC275VI. I truly enjoyed them and hope to own them again someday.

Sorry to hear that. The XR100s were the first Mcintosh speakers I've ever listened to and the idea that a company that specializes in High End Amps can't build good speakers has been put to rest in my mind. I've listened to countless 10 thousand dollar speakers over the years and I'd put the XR100s right up there with the best of them at that price point. The dealer is going to hook up a streamer to the system this weekend so I can hear how they sound in that format.
