Doug.......It is much easier if you network the MS750 via an Ethernet connection to your router. Then go into the Setup>Network and get the IP address of the MS750. Then type that IP address on your PC browser line and hit Enter. That will bring up the McIntosh MS750 menu on your PC. From there you can enter or edit data and add cover art from the Options tab.

You need to get into the Setup menu and work your way through all the options to get the MS750 set up properly.

These threads always end in disappointment. It's sad really. Time to move on.

Probably right. In my case I now have a clean, working unit with a fresh HD and freshly rebuilt PS. That might count for something, for someone, somewhere. LOL. I'm really torn...do I list it for sale as a rebuilt clean, functioning unit that it is OR do I dive into the user manual, learn to load it up with music/artwork, etc disk by disk by disk (and input all the info by hand I guess) and use it in myself. Only I can answer that ?

Yes sir. You have perfectly described the dilemma. Good luck, no matter which path you choose.

without the server being up, I no longer use the MSxxx to rip CD. I currently is using EAC (Exact Audio Copy) to rip the file into FLAC format and "import" into the MSxxx. EAC can download the CD meta data. The "demo" version allows 10 lookup, after that, the one time charge is $7.99 (I think). The bad thing about FLAC is that the clip art doesn't come thru. Use the web interface to load the clip art. If MP3 is all you need, you can use iTune to rip and than "import" into the MSxxx. Some of the clip art doesn't transfer thru and some does. For those that doesn't, select the artwork tap and add it in before "import" into the MSxxx.

Once you get this going, it is not too bad. For sure it is not like before. Still work-able for me.
