I have the same question. The Stillpoints should be in direct contact with the unit. I'm not sure if that's possible for you, but worth a a try if it is.

OK, I finally got a chance to install my Stillpoint Ultra SSs under my MC2301s tonight. Color me a believer. Damn it!!

100% agree. Stillpoints alone are not effective under turntables.

like yourself, compression springs work extremely well under my Technics SP10 mk3 and TW tables.

I have had my $30 worth of compression springs for a few years now and they have a bigger benefit to the sound than my ultra expensive Stillpoint V's - Work so much better than Symposium Ultra or SRA isolation platforms as well.
