The MX122 has about 7 manuals, none of which answered this question for me. I'd call McIntosh or ask the dealer you bought it from. Definitely beneficial to post your findings so that others that run into this can find the answer more easily.

I would try two things:

1. Power on the MX122 physically with the power button, not the remote and see if you get lights.

2. Toggle the lights "off" on the C2600 trim, then power on the MX122 and see if you get lights.
