Default There's something special about class A amps ....

I picked up a pair of Pass Labs XA100.5's and finally got these heavy beasts hooked up. Wow! They really are amazing. My CR-1's actually disappear more easily with the XA100.5's. Big, deep, and wide sound stage. I love them.

Gain (db)26
Power Output /ch (8 ohm) 100
Power Output /ch (4 ohm) 200
Input Impedance,(Kohms) 30 / 20
Leaves Class A @ pk Watts 200
Power Consumption (W) 300
Dimensions (W x H x D) 19 x 9.2 x 21.5
Unit Weight (LBS)87
Ship Weight (LBS) 105

Sweet Joe, I've heard CR-1's with big Pass Labs and they do play real nice together, enjoy!

I was using the Plinius SA-Reference on my main system for a bit. Despite their relatively minuscule rating in Class A (100W), I thought they sounded a tad better than my Electrocompaniet Nemos (1000W AB with the first few watts in Class A). The only concern was the high gain which didn't pair so well with my ARC Reference 5SE.

The XA100.5's consume 300 watts each. Great for the winter.

Thanks Brad.
