The Pro-Ject X-tension looks really gorgeous in black, too. This photo is with the Ortofon arm.

Wow, that looks great. It's one of the few TT that makes me want to cheat on mine ... I love wooden plinths.

Great looking TD125. I have a stock armless TD125MkII I want to refurb and add a arm too, just can't decide which way to go. BTW I sold my TD125MKII with the stock TP16MkI arm, because the RM5SE bested it in my estimate and the Blackbird was a tough install on the TP60 head shell. I really felt the arm was the limitation of that table, hence I found a pristine one with out the arm.
Regards,
Jim

I would be very interested in that evaluation!

Which arm, and what cartridge were they running? I'll bet it is gorgeous in person.

I've posted a report on that one already- it's buried somewhere here in the TT forum.
It's the best value for those looking to get into(or return to ) high end vinyl playback.
The Adikt MM pickup is wonderful. Before, I was only using MC pickups with my older LP12 but the Adikt has the resolve of a MC pickup but with a higher out put. In my opinion, the Pro-Ject 9cc is a excellent tonearm-it's a keeper. Skip the Akito tonearm and just go for the Ekos SE and Keel upgrades should you ever want to go that route.
If you're into mag reviews there are many out there on the internet.
Here's a link from the Linn web site:Linn - Majik LP12

Actually, I'm so impressed with the 9C arm on my RM5SE that I am thinking of building a new plinth for the TD125MKII, going Long Base and using the 12CC arm as opposed to the SME arm, that many use.
Regards,
Jim

Speed box - Night and day improvement... Distortion when the arm gets toward the center of the record has been greatly reduced. Imaging is noticeably improved, and the bass is a bit more well defined. This was the single greatest link in my chain for least amount of money in my chain. Switching between 45's & 33's is only buton away... my Metallica MoFi re-releases sound killer. ...And Justice For All is now given justice. I can hear the fret board buzz on Kirk's guitar! If speed control is an option for anyone it is given my highest recommendation!
