Hi everyone,
We’re pleased to be able to let you know that we will be releasing new firmware for several products on Monday. The firmware will be made available to our authorised distribution network at approximately 10.00am (UK time) on Monday 19th May.
The products affected are:
DSP8000 (SpeakerLink versions - including 40th Anniversary)
DSP7200 (all versions)
DSP7200HC (all versions)
DSP5200 (SpeakerLink version)
DSP5200HC (SpeakerLink version)
Audio Core 200
This release includes the addition of Enhanced Bass Alignment (EBA) for the SpeakerLink versions of DSP8000, DSP5200 and DSP5200HC. As many of you appreciate already, the introduction of EBA provides the opportunity to make an important and exciting upgrade in the audio performance of these models.
We also have new firmware for all versions of DSP7200 and DSP7200HC. This includes refinements to the operation of EBA and other SpeakerLink-controlled features.
The other product to benefit from this release is the Audio Core 200. We’ve introduced several additions to the command-set sent over SpeakerLink. These new features improve the functionality of systems based on this product.
Please note: This firmware release will allow EBA to be applied in some systems, but not in every application of the loudspeakers concerned. At a later date, we will be releasing a new version of the Meridian Configuration Program (MConfig) along with new firmware for the following products; 861v6, 861v8, 818v1, 818v2, 808.3 and 808v5. The date for this release is has yet to be confirmed, so we’ll let you know once we know!
This second release will allow EBA to be applied in a greater number of product combinations. If you would like to know about the possibilities within any particular system – from Monday onwards or following the second release - contact your Premium Partner for clarification.
As usual, full descriptions of the changes included in the firmware will be available from Monday in the release notes posted here on the “Partner Hub” section of our website:
