He was going to send me the unit based on the recommendation of a good friend who happens to be a well known reviewer (and who reviewed the unit very favorably), but then balked when he put the unit in his own system and was not satisfied that it would be an upgrade. His opinion was confirmed by another good friend who also happens to be a reviewer for a well known audiophile magazine.
Shouldn't you try it in your system before making a conclusion?

I heard the Audioquest Niagara 7000 in the following system: ARC CD-9, ARC REF6, Vandersteen M7-HPA mono amps and Vandersteen 7 MkII speakers. The system sounded absolutely wonderful and the Niagara 7000 appeared to match extremely well with these components, almost like it was designed for them. It may very well have been, as there are 4 high power outlets on the back of it, two for the monoblock amps and two for the subwoofer amps. Sound familiar?

It is definitely at the top of my list of most desirable power conditioners, especially if it synchronises the AC wave as well.

I just got the Isotek Titan and EVO3, but was very interested in this AQ Niagara 7000. I will definitely keep my eye on this and try to listen if I get a chance.
