Default Budget Power Cord Choices For McIntosh

I'm looking for suggestions on a good quality budget power cord for McIntosh modern solid state amps. By "budget" I mean $300 max. Something that doesn't color the tone but can expand soundstage and detail, if that's possible.

Length needed? Has an affect on any recommendation -- I'm assuming 2 or 2.5M's. but, thought I'd ask.

Best Sir,

Bob

Thanks Blueoak, but I have no interest in DIY cords. Experimenting with ready-made cords is frustrating enough.

along with Blueoak's nice DIY alternative over the years I've had good luck with Frank's offerings .......

http://www.signalcable.com

as for 'asking' your power cable to expand the soundstage............if your soundstage is not where you want it I suspect speaker / room setup followed by source / pre-amp/amp.

Thanks, but I don't consider the Shunyata Delta NR to be a budget cord. It's $700 retail.

I'm actually very happy with my components and speakers. It's just that with all of the claims out there by power cord manufacturers and users, I'm curious if a budget cord can offer more than I'm currently getting from my system's stock cords. If not, I'll just leave things alone.

I’ve used Essential Sound Products (ESP) power cords to good effect. They have 2 meters cords for around $250.

Do you really understand soundstage ? if so what do you expect a power cord to do ??

As for 'claims' from power cord manufacturers ..............
