Is this MaxiMatcher something anyone finds necessary? ...
Maxi Test : Digital Tube Tester, Vacuum Tube Testing, Power Tube, Dual Triode, Maxi-Matcher, Maximatcher
They are available for preamp and amp tubes.

It is something necessary if you're serious about your tube amp / preamp.
You're lucky to live in the US so buy one ! It seems to be the perfect unit for simple and secure tube testings. I ordered mine in September or October 2010 ! Never received it ! Peter sent it by USPS. First time, never had any call in Paris or a notification of delivery attempt. USPS tracking said false informations " we tried to deliver the package on xx november at xx oclock. Failure of delivery" something like that. I asked Peter what was happening and he could not give me more information than the USPS web site. Finally it went back in the US ! Second sending ( I paid 190 US dollars for both shipping ! ) : same story ! When finally, after more than one month, Peter agreed to ask USPS who was their agent in France, he learned that it was Chronopost. When I called Chronopost, it appeared that they returned the item to the US the same day I called !! Now Chronopost sent to me 2 certificates for both sendings they were not able to deliver. For the first shipping, it says that the french customs did not give the approval and sent back the item. For the second shipping, it says that the delivery information ( address ) was uncomplete and did not allow them to deliver. FOR BOTH SENDINGS, it appears clearly that USPS information on their web site were completely wrong. It seems that USPS is using electronic invoices and does not copy well the informations the sender filled.... Just a mess ! Now I'm waiting for my refund from Peter. He will do it when he will receive the MaxiMatcher. I lost 190 dollars. I don't have my MaxiMatcher. Lots of frustration. I wish I could have lived in the US ! THANK YOU USPS ! Cheers ! Jerome
