This is out of my league...well, I am not willing to trade my home for it! The only person that can swing this watch, Ivan. Anxious to see this watch on Ivan's wrist so I can live vicariously through him. Ivan, please buy it. I will come to Cape just to see it in person!

My Orient Blue Ray mechanical watch is so beautifully made and lovely to look at, I thought I would ditch the stainless steel bracelet, take it upscale with a beautiful German leather strap. So here it is, all dressed up with a "handgemacht" (hand-made) BOB Marino alligator-pattern leather strap in Ocean Blue with a polished stainless steel Omega-style deployant clasp.

Very nice - classy!

Where did you get the clasp and band? I need to get a few myself. Several of my vintage Omegas go unworn because I haven't gotten straps for them.

I got the band from WACCEX on that auction site. It's a handmade 22/18 BOB Marino leather strap. It's specifically designed for use with an Omega deployant clasp. Apparently a lot of Omega owners use BOB straps as replacement leather straps because the OEM Omega straps are something ridiculous, like $600 for a leather watch strap, and the BOB straps are absolutely beautifully made. I got the clasp from Strapped for Time, in their deployant clasp section on their web site. They also sell these BOB Marino straps for use with Omega clasps in three colors, black, brown and tan on their site, but they don't carry the Ocean Blue one. I ordered the blue one from WACCEX direct from Germany and just got it today.
