Ok everyone, I have another update to share! I love my new room, but I admit I was having some trouble dialing in the soundstage. It just wasn't where I wanted it. I decided to dedicate some time to covering my TV. But how? I started by hanging a few 2x2 gik panels off it, and immediately realized some improvement. I knew I had to keep going.

Well I bought a 6 pack of vicoustics diffusers and glued together 3 sets of 2, then used drywall anchors to mount some brackets for hangers.

The sonic results are very good.

I'm getting a bigger soundstage in both width and depth, with reduced overall room distortion. I'm able to turn up the volume a few notches beyond where I was listening before because of the increase in dampening/control in the room and clarity is taken up a few notches too!

I finally have not only a great system but a great sounding room! I've definitely seen the light, the room is as important as any gear we buy.

Those diffusers look really good in the dark grey color.....they complement the room well. I imagine it does make quite a difference.

Very nice! I’ve got a TV in that exact spot with my set up given the room doubles for music and TV.

Just reminds me I’m no doubt getting some reflections off of it...

Yes, you should really consider doing something like this. I found it to be a big improvement in my room. YMMV...

Might have to relocate the TV once I can reclaim downstairs from my sons ‘man/mate cave’!
