Will be a smaller one as the result of Ted working on the software for the new DAC.

Default PS Audio launches Snowmass

ARC Ref 40 Shunyata Sigma HC PC’s Shunyata Anaconda IC’s and bi-wired Anaconda SC to Revel Studio II. Amp is MESA Baron with KT90-EH and Black plate 1958 Raytheon 12DT7 (calibrated 12ax7 ultra rare) 6H30DR 1980 and GE 1972 Tubes. 2 x P10 Herbies Audio Ultra RX damping pads on all tubes Stillpoints U5 under all components and Speakers except P10’s using ultra mini 15 NCF Boosters and additional lift elsewhere Shunyata Dark Field SS risers. Stands by Timbernation Tiger Maple. AC duplex Audio Magic SHD x 2 (astounding duplex BTW way under rated) Furutech NCF 5.1 Duplex covers x 2. Audio Magic Ultra fuses throughout. Kontak cleaning fluid exclusively. And God knows what else I forgot. [emoji51]

3.0.0 is a bit darker perhaps and top end is not as pre use and extended and soundstagibg somewhat different - a bit deeper but the bloom and immersion is extraordinary. It comes down to just a matter of taste. Each has strengths/weaknesses depending on each person and their system.
Seems pretty split if I remember on the PS Audio forums. Some folks went berserk over 3.0.6 some thought it shifted audio spectrum towards upper end frequencies.
Either way their superb. I’ve heard some rumors Ted Smith is working on the next firmware.

I'm using the Bridge II and never noticed a difference in sound quality with all the Snowmass versions up to 3.0.5............just enjoying the music.

Wow. Snowmass 3.0.0 with Phase set to 'Out'. Simply amazing!

Listening to 'Diana Panton: To Brazil With Love' in DSD128 and its silky smooth.
