I grew tired of waiting too, I bought an Astell and Kern A&Ultima player. I'm not disappointed.

Want to use your phone as a source? I think the Dragonfly red (with a USB dongle adapter) works as a very good portable DAC, not sure if it will power anything the phone wasn't going to drive though.

I think the Chord MOJO may be similar to the MHA50, but I didn't demo that at RMAF, but I should have.

I have the dragonfly red. I don’t agree with the hype on it. You need to use the usb3 camera adapter and feed power for best sound. If you have truetone enabled on your iphone it will keep clicking and losing audio.

I have seen these advertised for some time now
Does anyone have one?
How do they like it - and worth the price (ha ha - I know a silly question on this Forum)

Thoughts on this compared to other portable DAC that are much less $$$ - such as the popular Dragon Fly?

I picked mine up yesterday. Haven’t had a lot of time with it but the short bit of audition today was impressive. I have a short trip planned
Later this week and hope to be able to give it an extended listen

Did you have another model portable dac/amp you were using to compare it to? What headphones are you using with it?

I'm not buying a McIntosh product made in China...maybe it's just me.

For home use I have a Sennheiser 650. For travel I have a noise cancelling Sennheiser model as well as a pair of Bose. I couldn’t get the MHA50 to work with the Bose but I have been using it in my office where I have a pair of Sony headphones - can’t recall the model.
So far I like what I’m hearing for sure but I need to spend more time with it.
