SACD's
I started acquiring SACDs to use in my Memory Player, and growing addicted. I have ventured expanding my music scope by purchasing albums I was familiar with from the past, and now reading the listening section within the forum for other options.
It's funny though on how many versions/formats I've acquired through time, not to mention the money spent beginning with vinyl in '76 then cassette followed by cd, then MP3, back to remastered versions of CD and MP3, to SACD which came out after CD, and now I am streaming Hi Res. I don't even know if I got all that straight. 8 tracks were my fathers, and I still hear songs today where it is still burned in my mind waiting for the song to turn over - he switched to cassette then CD and he never got to MP3 and streaming, the gravy train ran out by then. Rambling a little here, but I know there has to be others out there in this 160Kish forum that share something similar. Happy Listening! I had 8-track as a kid as well and your right, sometimes when I play a sacd or high rez version of what I had on 8-track, at a certain point in the song, I am used to the pause where it changed tracks and in my mind, I still hear it.
