Default USS Indianapolis

Tried this the other night and gave up after about 45 minutes. The acting and directing were terrible, the CGI effects were like a '60s 'b' movie, and the script was just plain silly. Also the history was pretty distorted. Very disappointing, since I believe this is an important historical event that deserves better treatment and could have been a meaningful movie in the right hands. Purely my opinion of course, ymmv.

The movie is so bad it's hard to understand what their intentions were. Full filling a contract or something?!

I have not seen this one but your comment does not surprise me in the least. It drives me nuts when filmmakers try to enhance stories about historical events that are already dramatic and compelling enough without added drama and conflicts created from some screenwriter's or director's imagination.

I had the same reaction recently while watching Sully.
