Yup, 20% off MSRP is unprecedented; it's a special recession deal, I was told.

Congrats Cisco!

Finding a pair in the middle of the Pacific, it was meant to be. I've had my pair for 7 months and I still can't get over how beautiful they are.

I don't know if the GM's are magneticly shielded. If not, be careful of the right one being so close to your TV.

Again, welcome to the club.

Default My Mementos Are Better Than Your Mementos

Please excuse the silly title to this post - its just that I don't think I've ever heard anything "better" than my Mementos. I've owned dozens of speakers, some have more bass, some better soundstaging, but none have better musicality than the Mementos.

As I write this, I'm listening to an old folk recording - The Putumayo recording of the Scottish singer/songwriter Dougie MacLean, and I keep looking up to see if he is in the room with me.

My "other" speakers are Avalon Eidolons and I almost never go out to listen to them. The Mementos are that good.

The electronics driving my Mementos are almost pedestrian compared to the stuff most of you own - McIntosh MA7000 integrated, MVP871 universal player, but even so, THE MEMENTOS SOUND GOOD!

You nailed it when you say other speakers may do some things better but the Mementos punch all the right buttons for you. No speaker can do everything and you have found one that meets your needs. You are a fortunate man.

How are you enjoying the GM 'cisco?

Do you have it with the grill on or off?

Onemug.....I had no plans to buy anything before the end of the year and this "red violin" opportunity just landed on my lap.

No problems with the TV.....working just fine...thanks
