Default Power oulet for your Shindo

Just curious what everyone here has going on for outlets. I have hubbell 5362's, and am thinking of trying something else. I think it's safe to say most Shindo users run with stock PC's, and Mr T, if they use a conditioner. I figured with outlets, there would be a wide array of different choices...?

I have Furutech's GTX-D pure copper receptacle, aluminum frame, and stainless steel/carbon fibre cover. Stock PC from Mr. T. and stock PC from Aurieges.

Question

Thanks TommyC. It doesn't look like aftermarket outlets for Shindo is a big thing. Can't say I'm surprised. I think it's one of those things, when it sounds good, leave it the hell alone. I have some Cryo-treated Jena Labs outlets collecting dust, I may try out. The Furutech's look real nice, very positive reviews. Cheers !

PS Audio Power Outlet for my P5 power conditioner connection.

I use Hubbell HBL8362's for Sub's and anything else I need to plug in.

Hey Derek

I'm sorry, this is an unauthorized post, considering you have no Shindo gear listed, that you're using !

You do however get bonus points for using a 'proper' color Hubbell outlet-

(joking of course)

Even though response has been quiet on this one, just a quick update. I had some Jena Labs Cryo'd outlets in my closet, and decided to install 3 last night. This was a bit time consuming, so I didn't get a chance to listen yet. I did a little research, and it looks as if the Jena outlet is a Hubbell 5362. The 5362 is what I had in he wall, so I guess this experiment is essentially 5362 vs. Cryo 5362. I am happy with my sound as is, but I had these outlets on hand, so I figured what the heck. Plus they are $100 outlets, so why no give them a shot.

Am running mine into the high end new house built in the last 10 years outlets, I am guessing $1.35?

It's funny that while I upgraded the outlets for my home theater, I never bothered to do so for the stereo rig. Or maybe it's not so funny.

I'm curious as well as I'm just in the middle of a big renovation to my main listening room that includes a complete re-wire. I have most of the wiring done so I just put in some Leviton Hospital grade receptacles from Home depot for now. I haven't been convinced that $120 plus receptacles are a wise choice. I will most likely go with the Hubbells or maybe PS Audio for the final choice.
I do drool over those fancy carbon fiber wall plates though, but the price is stupid. I just bought a new Bell carbon fiber motorcycle helmet for the price of 2 wall plates.

My outlets (or at least the wiring), is 58 year old copper ! Age-annealed baby !

Then into two Mr Ts- Then Shindo standard PCs or Shindo 'upgrade' PCs, then into heaven...
