Alberto....maybe i missed and/or am missing something....you say you loved your previous Mcintosh system, because it had what you call a "Delicious Sound".......so....why dident you just keep it and start/build another system in another room? or is it that you have no room left and thus space restricts you to the one area where your Mcintosh was?If so then i understand.

You may have missed a few threads. I was very happy with my system but missed the chase. I don't want two listening rooms, I want to focus on just one - which I really like - it's my oasis. Now I know how I can achieve one type of delicious sound, and I want to explore other ways (e.g. low power amps and high-eff speakers) and learn new things. Nothing more to it. Alberto |

Even though this not a Class A integrated....120 per.....this one looks mighty nice....just need to listen to it now...these pics came from the "On a Higher Note" site.
If I had to, I can certainly live with something like this.

Luxman uses very high end material to build their equipment. They also pay meticulous attention to details. For example, their higher end models use Peal Coat white PCB with think 24K gold tracing instead of the normal green dye. The tracing is gently curved so electrons can travel smoothly. Their binding posts, RCA posts, IEC sockets are specially made. They have shielding between compartments to minimize EMI crosstalk. Plus more...
Their website has lots of cool pictures and explanations, but they are in Japanese. I believe Onahighernote has a lot of good information in English. But they are not as up-to-date. |

I second the motion on that one... Had one for two years and it's the piece of gear I most regret selling....

Why don't we all just put the stuff we're tired of in a great big pile and take home someone else's castoffs?
Play musical chairs with audio gear! There are several of us here that just lust for change for the sake of change, so let's just swap!
