About the BIT-15 . . . I am thinking of it for my 4B3. Right model?
A concern is any noise from the toroidal transformer. I have several other components with transformers that emit mechanical hum, which I've overcome with AVA "Hum Dinger" boxes (these are said to counteract DC on the AC line). My listening room is extremely quiet, so I need to ask, does the BIT produce any noise? |

Thanks, James, that's helpful. I'll mull it over.

given there is a large Toroidal transformer in the BIT, how much space does one need to leave above the unit so it wont cause interference with the component above?

Hi Its a toroidal transformer so the magnetic field is concentrated around the central core so you do not need much space at all. I would say 4-5 inches is fine. james |
