Absolutely incredible setup, contrats. I noticed in your cabinet what looks to be an original Furman IT-Reference, is that correct? If so how do you keep it isolated in a cabinet without heat issues? I have an original IT-Reference and mine is incredibly warm, well, hot actually, I can only ever place on my hand on the top of the unit for a few seconds before having to remove it. Mine is in an open rack and literally heats the room, in the summer the room gets uncomfortably warm. My unit also buzzes quite loud which can be annoying.

Wow! What a contrast between two units. I have never had a heat issue with my IT-Reference. However, I have not hooked up any amps or big power draws to the unit. It only is used for the microprocessor driven units like the MX150. I know the insides of this unit as I have had to perform a couple of repairs, with the help of the Furman techs, and the only component that can generate that kind of heat is the toroidal transformer. The only other circuit board in the unit that can generate any heat is on the right side looking from the front. I suspect there is an issue with the toroidal transformer or a specific component affecting the unit. I have never heard a buzz from my unit. Try unplugging one component at a time from the IT-Reference and check if the buzz goes away as I suspect the buzz and heat issues are related.
