RIP Brian Cheney of VMPS speakers
With sadness I would like to pass this along taken from the AudioCircle- VMPS Audio, dated Dec 7, 2012
"Brian Cheney passed last night. He was a wonderful husband, loving father, great speaker designer, and audiophile. A sincere thank you to all friends and customers who enriched his life. Brian's Wife, Shirley Cheney" http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?board=39 I've owned and enjoyed his ribbon speakers designs and his never ending pursuit of improving his products. A true pioneer in audio.

Wow, what a shock. I sold my VMPS last month. Brian came to my home a few years back, excited to try his RM30's with my Mcintosh equipment. While I found him to be very different as audio people can often be, he was a very nice kind person. I'm sure he will be misses by many.

Used to own a pair of his RM30M speakers years ago. Enjoyed many years of them. Sad to see someone of Brian's talent leave us.

This is sad, Brian made great sounding speakers which were also great value, putting them within reach reach of a lot more punters. Other good value manufacturers which come to mind are McCormack, Hegel, Modwright & Blue Circle Audio. These guys always give you great back for your buck. RIP Brian.

My goodness, not another loss. What an impressive list of accomplishments. I've seen pics of James and Brian together and his amps showcased with Brian's speakers.
RIP James Bongiorno.
