I doubt if you will be dissatisfied. I bought the IQ Air HealthCare Pro about 6 months ago. It is in a hallway for now. Even though it is not in the same room as the stereo equipment, I still turn it down to 1 or 2 when doing some critical listening. I think one has to expect some wind noise when a unit is turned all the way up.

I suffer from asthma too! but we're a no pet home. Nothing worse than not being able to breathe.

So far do good with the IQ Air. The first thing I noticed is how it did a great job cleaning up some glue odor.

Anyone with a Iq air have a recommendation on how you configure the schedule and the speed for longer filter life?

Here is the first filter of 3 I just changed... It's amazing what's in the air here in Beijing that IQ Air filters out.

I'm glad to hear your IQ Air is doing a great job Derek. It is an excellent purifier! Based on my space and budget, I found a Blueair 203 downstairs & 270E upstairs fit in perfectly and works great It's all about what's right for you and your home. Btw, here is a photo of the Blueair 200 series polypropylene 'smokestop' filter. It is pretty substantial and approx 2'' deep. Shown is the side with the enhanced activated carbon layer. When new, the other side is pure white & has a series of ribs which filters out airborne particles down to a still excellent 0.1 micron.
