Of course I noted that you were joking, but in order to avoid any possible misunderstandind, here below you can give a look od details of the equipped mids and tw of B100's. The B100 holds two 140 mm mid-range driver: • Kevlar mid-range driver with extremely high load rating, modified to Burmester specifications. • 135 mm die-cast light alloy enclosure, very rigid, magnetically non-conductive, therefore, no magnetic loss. • Kevlar-cone diaphragm presently has the best rigidity-to-mass ratio of all known diaphragm materials with resonance-free response characteristics exceeding 3000 Hz Aluminum eddy current-free coil frame, extremely heat-resistant. Tweeter • Two Airmotion-JET tweeter modified to Burmester specifications, with horn construction. • Diaphragm foil made of highly heat-resistant Kapton, therefore, extreme load stability. • Diaphragm foils are pair-matched. • Best motion-to-mass ratio. • The app. 30 cm² diaphragm area is about ten times the size of conventional dome tweeters. This results in a very low crossover frequency of 2700 Hz and allows a d’Appolito configuration which guarantees very stable and transparent sonic images. • No compression effects as with dome tweeters • Neodym magnets with very high energy density (app. 20 times higher than comparable ferrite magnets) allow magnets of smaller size and, thus, a more streamlined design. About the costruction of B100's is very incredible and impressive!!! The look of mid and tw of the superb B25's are same in look only, but the substance is completely different. P.S.: Sincere congratulations for the B25's! |

Thank you Rocco.
I have a Burmester brochure with a table with specifications of their speakers, stating that booth B100 and B25 has 130mm kevlar-membrane midrange woofers. But maybe this brochure is wrong then. |

In these days I'm listening a burmester reference line system of a my close friend. It's composed with a mono-pair 909's, 808 mk5 with PSU Reference Line, cd player 069 with PSU Reference Line, power conditioner 948 and B100's. The cables are Cableless (excellent italy manufacture) and various tweaks by Taoc. The acoustic of the room is Vicoustic. The sound is so alive that seems to really stay in the event of music. Awesome. Next week I'll post some photos. P.S.: yesterday, i had a listen also of a full MBL system. Also very interesting system, but very different from the Burmester sound quality. Burmester sound is true music!! The neutrality of Burmester is unique!! Last edited by Rocco; 10-13-2011 at 08:27 AM. |

I need friends like yours I can't wait to see some photos. I think late next year I would like an 069. I imagine your friends system is wonderful. I turned on a friend in Pennsylvania to Burmester. He is selling everything else he has and LOVES his Burmester 911 MK3 amp and 035 preamp. He is in heaven and can't believe how good his system is now. He bought it unseen and unheard on my recommendation and me talking to him about my gear. Joe |

Oh my goodness Rocco, beautiful! Thank you for the pictures. Those 909's look huge. I don't know how or what Burmester does, but their gear is amazing.

I wonder how much they weigh? Maybe instead of two 911's, one 909 would be a little better (for me)
I have a dream ..... |
